I hope this email finds you well. The Complete Communities Magnolia Park-Manchester Neighborhood Support Team (NST) meeting planned for this week did not take place due to the decision by Mayor Turner to postpone or cancel City-sponsored events through the end of April. This decision was made to decrease the potential for the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the community. We will not be holding any in-person events for Complete Communities through the end of April. However, the Planning and Development Department will move forward with the community engagement in the Magnolia Park-Manchester area using virtual meetings and other digital resources that are available. The next NST meeting will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 6-7 pm via video conference and phone.

What to expect:

  • Next week you will receive an email with a link or call in number that you can use to join the video conference on Thursday. You will be able to use this link or number on your phone, personal computer, or other internet-enabled device to join the meeting at 6 pm.
  • Staff will be able to interact with you during the meeting via video, phone, and chat. This will allow us to receive comments and questions while the meeting is happening. We will also be able to share presentation materials through the video conference.
  • We will send all meeting materials in advance so you will be able to follow along if you are not able to join with a device that can support video.

The purpose of this next meeting will be to go over the projects and goals in the working action plan for the Magnolia Park-Manchester Complete Community. The document will be sent in advance so you can review and provide comments before, during, or after the video conference. As a member of the NST we are asking for your support to make sure the working action plan is reflective of the community your are representing in Magnolia Park, Manchester, Harrisburg, or Smith Addition.
